what a wonderful weekend we had, well it was really hot. There is always so much happening, and many quilts in various stages. Maddy and Cole where also along. we had way to much food but lots of yummy. dawn was great fun. thanks girls.

Two more tops for project jimmy. we had a great day, the all come over and we watched soccer and golf most of the day. I tried to sew the one top together and must of ripped twenty times , I don't like jack. so I'm just going to go read. have a nice fathers day.

I saw this pattern on Kathy Holland's blog inspired by antique quilts and wanted to use red white and blue. i had the back ground fabric left from a quilt back as well as the stars .the red was a strange buy at a shop in Bethlehem, pa shop. but works. totals tops 7. now to watch some soccer with john . then clean my room up.

new project.

I wanted to start a new project this summer that would have a meaning to my self and husband john . i really enjoy project Marc last year. so this year its going to be project jimmy. I'm going to make quilts for the vet. hospital jimmy was at. they will need 50 to 105 quilts . i know i can do this and am ready for it .as you can see i have started with 2 tubs of scraps .so far i have to tops done.

we came home late sunday night and crashed. had a lot of fun
(thanks Alta. ). the show was great, many wonderful quilts . i was able to see betty neff . what a high light,also pick up her new patterns. i also found a new friend Donna Ruppert. she was vending across from us. in Piecing the past.www.piecingthepast.com check her out , she also talks at guildes. what a treat that would be. i am glad to be home with hubby now and rex came by to visit. giving out doggie kisses. :). i hope you enjoy the pitcures.

I am going to Virginia to help in a quilt show this weekend. the best part is Betty Neff will be there .She is one of my all time fav teachers. talk to you on Monday.
