little jimmy's

after making the call to Wilkes bare VA center last Monday and finding out they needed a total of 87 quilt's i shut and went to my wtf place thinking what the fabric. after a few hour's and several Dr.pepper's later i came out and dug some more fabric out. (after i had just tidy thinking i had enough quilt's) and decided to make some lapp quilt's. In all fairness to the VA. center i don't think they realize what they are getting. they will Feb.17Th.

So like any good troop doe's I'm marching on . bonnie thank you for getting me past my meltdown. and thank you Rose Anne for showing up with more fabric and batting . i would like to say more but as you can tell i need to quilt.

At the retreat this week i wanted to finish some things that have been sitting around . 5 yds of toweling became 6 dish towels. I joined Kathleen Tracy's The American Schoolgirl Club. i wanted to use leftover block's and stash fabric.

Lori. from Humble Quilts is running a quilt along . I am now up to date.

Patchwork Penguin's #3 UFO is dear Jane block's. I realized i need ed to stop work on it and just put my fav. blocks together.

this weekend was one of the best i 've had in a long time . seltzer sisters rock. i feel recharged and ready to finish project jimmy.

what's better than one.

what's better than one , well that would be 4 yes 4 star quilts . 2 more tops and I'm done with tops . then i quilting begins . yes bring it on .

the lighting is poor but another top is done . i really like this one. i had 9 star's left from a earlier quilt and wanted to use them . did i say i really like this top , i really do.

by this time my scrap bin is getting boring. i have 6 more tops to finish(all cut and ready to sew.) then i want to play with the blog land quilts Lori from humble quilts has really neat doll quilt. civil war blocks. and Bonnie hunter from quiltville. gotta go the sewing room is calling.

starting with the jimmy. using scrap stash. patchwork penguin#3 (dear Jane blocks, i have 60 done. i would like to make 5 more in Jan.
